…who has been touched by cancer at some time in our lives. Either ourselves, family members or friends have fought, and either won or lost, the battle against cancer of some kind. We are riding this bicycle trip to raise money and awareness for the fight against cancer. We sincerely appreciate your support.

The ride is headed for the CEDIA Expo, a major trade show for the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (www.cedia.org). The primary participants in this event belong to member companies of CEDIA. In 2005, Ken Smith, Vice President of CEDIA was touched by cancer when one of his employees was diagnosed. Kenny rode from Maine to Indianapolis to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Ken's ffice is in Maine and the National Expo for CEDIA was in Indianapolis. The National CEDIA Expo is held in Denver in 2006 and now Mr. Smith has an even longer ride ahead of him.

Mark Hoffenberg, President of AUDIOVISIONS, lost his wife Susie to Cancer in 2002. Her life was prolonged by leading edge clinical research trials, and a huge dose of inspiration from Lance Armstrong, Cancer survivor, and 7 time Tour de France champion. Mark has rallied a team from Orange County California to support this fund raising e#ort and meet the CE Express in Denver. The Western leg will be traversing the Rockies for nearly 500 miles and tens of thousands of feet of climbing.

Funds Raised for this event are being split between several Cancer foundations. The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF.org) will receive half of ALL funds raised. A fourth of the funds will be donated to local charities on each Coast. In Main the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care will be the recipient. The Sonance/Specialized Team will support the MARF Foundation, www.marf.org.
